what is tallow?
Tallow is an ancestral treasure, prized by traditional cultures due to the abundance of health benefits- both inside and outside of the body!
Tallow - specifically organic pasture raised, grass-fed and finished tallow - is a creamy, buttery fat full of Vitamins A, D, K, & E, jam-packed with minerals, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) an essential fatty acid known for it's anti-inflammatory properties, as well as palmitoleic acid- which is one of our skins building blocks, and helps improve the protective barrier of our skin.
Tallow is healing, regenerative and non-comedogenic- it won't clog or block the pores of the skin. It's readily absorbed due to the nearly identical makeup to sebum, and also hosts stearic acid which helps to repair damaged skin and improve skins flexibility and suppleness.
